01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Whether you’re after a proper hot pot for one or a meal to share, Chickensoup Minami offers Hakata-style chicken, offal, beef, oyster and curry hot pots. Prices range from ¥1,300 to ¥1,700, with a choice of pots and flavours to suit your appetite. One diner who ordered the chicken hot pot for one said the portion was filling enough without any extras. Another recalled that the offal hot pot came with cabbage, burdock, Chinese chives and chicken meatballs, all working well with its white miso-based broth.

Toppings let you tailor the pot further. Options include chicken thigh, seseri (chicken neck meat) and Japanese beef offal, as well as 4 oysters, tofu and butter. You can also plan how to round off the meal, with a rice-porridge set or sari noodles. For a lighter bite before the hot pot, there are small dishes such as yam kimchi and squid kimchi. One diner enjoyed the yam kimchi’s crunch and spicy seasoning.

The drinks list includes beer, lemon sour and Sui gin soda, alongside soft drinks for those who prefer not to drink alcohol. The restaurant offers dine-in meals and solo dining, making a hot pot for one at lunchtime another option.
